How much mulch do I need?
Measure the length and width of a rectangular bed in feet. Multiply the area by your chosen depth in inches, then divide by twelve to convert the depth to feet. Divide the volume by the bag size for bagged mulch, or by twenty-seven for cubic yards.
Bags = round up [length × width × (depth in inches ÷ 12) ÷ bag volume]

Can I use this for soil or gravel?
The volume calculation works for any material sold by volume. It does not estimate weight, compaction, settling, or delivery limits.
How many cubic feet are in a cubic yard?
One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet: 3 feet × 3 feet × 3 feet.
Does the cost include delivery?
No. It multiplies the whole bag count by the bag price you enter. Bulk material, delivery, labor, and tax need separate quotes.
